International Day of Happiness 20th March 2015

United Nations International Day of Happiness

Here in Gravesend kent (UK) we have over the years celebrated this day through a series of activities by a team of dedicated volunteers and the support of local community organisations and businesses.

Day of Happiness is celebrated on March 20, 2015. The International Day of Happiness is celebrated throughout the world on 20 March. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly on 28 June 2012. The International Day of Happiness recognizes the relevance of happiness and well-being as universal goals and aspirations in the lives of human beings.

“Happiness may have different meanings for different people. But we can all agree that it means working to end conflict, poverty and other unfortunate conditions in which so many of our fellow human beings live.” UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon 3/2014
